About

Art is a microscope through which humans glimpse their truest selves, and find connection to others in shared human experiences.

Visual Storytelling. That about sums it up, when describing the kind of work I do. Mediums fluctuate, converge, branch. I love to uncover the hidden visual stories in the everyday world around me. Whether the vehicle is an antique case, a zinc etching plate, or a blank garment, my narratives are told through overlapping layers of symbols and metaphors. Often wry, sometimes opaque, occasionally maudlin. I knows what I like, and though often it might be ‘shiny’, it is never ‘new’. I am exceptionally fond of Edward Gorey, found bits of rust, Medieval manuscripts, and the idea of absinthe.
